Description

Neutron Irradiation

Files contain atomic displacement cross-sections for a detailed assessment of radiation damage rates obtained for materials from lithium (Li) to bismuth (Bi) irradiated with neutrons. The displacement cross-sections were calculated using the arc-dpa and NRT models, and data from the JEFF-4, ENDF/B-VIII.1, JENDL-5 (with updates through July 2024), and TENDL-2023 (August 2024) libraries over neutron energies from 10−5 eV to the highest available energies.

Where necessary, the displacement cross-sections derived from each library were extended to 200 MeV using TENDL data. The displacement cross-sections obtained from JEFF-4 were provided with covariance matrices.

In addition, the files contain cross-sections for zirconium hydride (ZrH2), obtained using the results of modelling of primary damage in the alloy. Also included are 100 random files that reflect the uncertainty of the model parameters used to calculate the number of defects.

Charged Particle Irradiation

The files contain displacement cross-sections for elements ranging from lithium (Li) to bismuth (Bi) irradiated with protons at energies up to 10 GeV. For most materials, the data were generated using the arc-dpa and NRT models. In the cases of Al, Fe, Cu, and W, the cross-sections were calculated following the approach proposed by Yin (2023), which incorporates different displacement functions and the BCA model.

Additional files provide proton displacement cross-sections for Al, Fe, Cu, and W at initial proton energies up to 100 GeV.

Data for incident deuterons and alpha-particles are also available for Al, Fe, Cu, and W at energies up to 100 GeV.
